There are two options available for the castle visit. Which one should I choose?

We offer pre-booked admission tickets for Doune Castle for two different day tours from Edinburgh: the West Highland Lochs, Mountains & Castles Tour and The Outlander, Palaces & Jacobite Experience Tour.

Do I need to present my ticket at the castle entrance?

No, your driver-guide will hold all tickets and will manage entry for the group. They will advise you on the check-in process and accompany you to the entrance.

Can I use a Historic Scotland Membership or Explorer Pass at Doune Castle?

Can children join for free?

Children aged 4 – 6 can join free of charge; however, a ticket is still required to ensure the castle can manage visitor numbers safely. Children aged 7–16 require a paid ticket.
